Hello guys just wondering if anyone can help me?
Basically just streamed home movie from a digital camcorder to computer, then made burned it onto DVD using windows movie maker.
I have tried to now make another copy from the DVD but when I place the DVD into the player it is not recognising it(how I copied it was too explore the DVD and copied the file).
I have been through two DVD's and dont want to waste anymore!!!
Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you using Vista? As far as I knew, WMM doesn't burn to DVD otherwise.
Anyway, you'll need something like Nero 7 burning software; http://www.nero.com/enu/Downloads.html0 -
Yes I am using Vista!! I did not burn the DVD using WMM as I used Windows Movie Maker to create the movie!! Then used Windows DVD Maker to create the DVD!!0

You can't copy a DVD by simply dragging and dropping the files. You need software that allows you to clone the disc.
I'll post later if someone doesn't give you solution.0 -
Thanks for the reponses so far Donnie.
Just to say have been on the case and tried again still not getting the results.
Just writing this to keep you posted and to make sure this thread does not get forgotten about!!!
Thanks in advance

If you've got Nero, you can copy a DVD through that.
You might be able to create a disc image using something like PowerISO (I think)and then burn that instead, but someone with more technical know-how will probably correct me on that score.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Nero is good and you can get a trial version so it won't cost you anything to try it. Another good choice is CloneCD, which is probably simpler to use than Nero but does cost.
You could also try imgnurn and deepburner which I think will both copy a DVD and are free. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

What have you tried whilst "on the case"?
Did you download and install the Nero 7 Demo and then choose 'Copy DVD' via NeroStartSmart?0 -
i believe when using windows movie maker, instead of burning to DVD then copying, i think you can create a movie file on your hard drive somewhere.
Given that you haev a DVD burner, you'll have software that came with it.
Simply use that software to burn multiple copies of your file to disc.
