Help on BIN please

Hi, I would like to test an item as a BIN rather than listing it as an auction. I have a private account, not business and have been selling/buying for several years but never tried listing other than by auction.
I have looked up on the sellers centre and it is not clear if I can do this without also listing the item as an auction, and it also says that a BIN must be for at least 40% more than the auction starting price.
Can I just list the item as a BIN? Also, what are the listing fees for a BIN?
I want to do this as some of my items I feel would be better as a BIN with a long (30 days?) listing time rather than keep relisting.
Thank you for any help.

A BIN is a BIN, it is not the same as an auction with a BIN price.
If you use the advanced selling form you will see tabs to choose the type of listing, just above where you add the price. Just use fixed price as the option.
As a private seller, assuming you are in good standard and eligible without restriction you get 20 free listings a month, and those can be either BIN or auction. If you have already used your free allowance then each listing will cost you 35p.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for that Soolin, in all this time I had never realised that my 20 free included BIN but now I can see they are also fixed price listing. DOH!
Used them all this month (first time ever) so will have to pay if I decide to go ahead this month.0 -

Do a test run to see if there is a charge at the bottom of the page or not as you might have free listing this weekend for Sat, Sun and Mon."For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0 -
Off topic, I'm never able to add a reserve one items, the option to add a reserve is not there. I don't have a laptop or PC and always list off my mobile. I'm able to use the classic site on my phone but when it comes to listing I can never add a reserve?!!!0
