MET refusing to give POPLA

Hi all,
I've been helping out a few friends with private parking tickets but come across stubborn MET that is refusing to give out POPLA code under the pretence that it's too late to appeal.
I have wrote them back telling them ADR has no deadline refusing this stage would be a breach of blabla, which they have kindly ignored all togther OR referred me to the debt collector
(i'm chasing a few tickets :rotfl:)
My question is, is it worth the back and forth?
Or will the letter from MET stating its too late to involve POPLA be enough evidence in court (if it ever gets there)
Just hate the spam mail from Debt Recovery Plus
All advice is very much appreciated

You could try the tactic of sending a Notice of Cancellation of the (alleged/denied) contract if the parking event was 13th June or later. As per lots of posts I have made recently, maybe search the forum for 'Distance contract' if you don't know what I am on about. Does no harm and could be useful for some OPs in future if they have sent a notice early doors to cancel a contract because the PPC didn't provide sufficient information as per the new EU regulations. It brings a lot of issues into the open that would help people in court defences later on (not that your friend will need that v MET as they don't try court).
You should also be complaining to the BPA sending copies of all letters. The keeper can certainly appeal and isn't too late if they appeal when they get the first letter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
