Hi!
Played with Hudl 2 in-store. I wanted to test it's performance with BBC player and downloads etc, but was prompted to sign-in with Google Chrome which I was loath to do. Has anyone bought a Hudl 2 and loaded Firefox and used, accessed and downloaded BBC iPlayer TV progs and/or BBC radio podcasts?
Thanks

Have Firefox and BBC Iplayer/media player/radio player and work just fine.
If you have a google mail account you can sign in with that.0 -
Second that. I have a Hudl2 and it works just fine with BBC iplayer etc if you sign in with google. However you do have to install the app for itvplayer and 4OD. I was advised by ano-poster here that this is because the pc versions use Flash which is not available on a tablet, hence needing the relevant app.0

Thanks. I have a Gmail account - I just don't want to have to log in via Google. Sorry to be so dense, but are you saying I have to sign in via Google/Google Play app?
Lack of flash compatibility is a real annoyance...Free thinker.:cool:0 -
As Steve Jobs killed flash its a problem .
Do a search for the latest Android Flash player see Google for Flash Browsers .

Even if you do hack Flash on, don't expect it to run that well. You'll be using sites that are expecting keyboards and mice, not touch. And if you don't want to 'sign in to Google' then an Android tablet probably isn't for you!0
