Excellent - glad to hear they were so helpful.0

One of the few high street shops that actually take customer service seriously - nice result.0

Very similar thing happened to us, bought my daughter some Clark's shoes whilst we were on holiday (we got home the day before term started). The fitter put inserts into the shoes to make them fit better which I thought was strange.
The inserts turned her school socks bright blue so at the earliest opportunity, we went to our local branch of Clark's. The fitter there remeasured my daughter feet, said the shoes were the wrong size and we got a new pair. She even offered money to replace the ruined socks which we refused.
Very glad you got a new pair. Our local branch are very good and have replaced shoes when stitching has come undone. I just make sure I keep the receipt somewhere safe.0 -
Adults shoes are never going to fit an 11 year old properly. I wouldn't have bought them. I would have gone to another shop.
I would go back to the shop and explain that you were advised to buy these by the fitter but feel they aren't suitable. I wouldn't have thought you would have a problem. Clarks are usually quite good with stuff like this.
If an 11 year old has adult size feet, of course an adult shoe is going to fit.! My daughter has been in adult sizes for over a year, she's 12. My older daughter takes a 7 in school shoes, but an adult could wear them too - Clarks will replace a shoe if it has been fitted - it states that they were fitted on the receipt, if they were just bought, and no one in the shop had fitted them, its harder to get a refund.0 -
Quote - I am also surprised that an 11 year old would fit a 5.5.
Why are you suprised? Loads of kids have got huge feet. I was a kids size 13 at age 13 i'm only a 4 now, my daughter who is 12 is in a 5.5 already, and both my kids have the widest fitting that Clarks do. The velcro that is on the top of trainers, on some of the designs, didn't reach all the way across the top of their feet because they are so wide.0
