    Make sure the powerline adaptors are plugged directly into wall sockets and not on extension leads.

    On extension lead. Tried the main socket and still slow. Unfortunately the only spare main socket I can use is a bit intermittent.

    sounds like you need to overhaul electrical wiring/phone wiring/both. Also, if there are other slowdowns on the wider network (i.e. outside of your house) then you'll see them inside...

    It's not realistic plugging them into dodgy wiring and then expecting much success. Also, if you are short on plug sockets you should buy the pass through type so you don't lose the use of the socket. Would you really buy the cheapest for a business?
    Have you tried a decent working socket?
    Have you contacted your supplier at all to check your BB?
