calling an english mobile in france

Hi all,

If i am in france with an english mobile, does a person who is ALSO in france still have to use th english international dialling code to call me?

They would be calling me from a french mobile or landline, if that makes any difference

Thanks.

Olias

Sorry, your answer sounds ambiguous. So even though i am IN france, they will need to use the uk international code to call me. Is that what you are saying?

    Thanks

Yes, your number is a UK number, not a French number, that doesn't change if you are in France.

Yes they would dial your number as if you were in the UK and they were in France.

Yes, otherwise they'd be calling a French number!

Thanks all, the only reason i thought they might not need it is the phone would be connected to a french network, not an english one.

But the French network routes the the incoming call back to your UK provider, UK provider routes it back to France, that's why roaming charges are so high.

The only time you don't have to use the international dialing code is if you are making an outgoing call to a French number while you are in France.
