Hi all.
A question if I may to all you knowledgeable MSE people.
I was fairly recently contacted via letter by Arrow Global, who sub contracted (if that is possible) RMA Resolve to chase an alleged debt belonging to me, or at least someone who shares my name.
Boring story cut to the point.....Arrow Global took it upon themselves to delve into my personal life and send an instruction for payment to my DMC, (StepChange), put me right in the dung that move! Despite raising an alarm about a false trace to their pathetic pets at RMA Resolve! This distressed me to the point where I was totally beside myself with rage, as I have a personality disorder.
After many conversations on the phone and via e-mail and the CCA request letter, with the pathetic idiots at RMA Resolve, and the slightly more reasonable people at Arrow Global themselves, an Arrow Global Rep finally agreed with me that the ALLEGED debt was Statute Barred, thus unenforceable anyway!
Were they actually ALLOWED to make a request to my DMC behind my back without proving to me as requested, that the alleged debt was actually mine?????
Many thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

A few questions to get clear exactly what has gone on......
- This was a debt that had never previously been included in the DMP?
- Did you tell Arrow about the DMP?
- So Arrow requested to be included in the DMP distribution without your authority?
- What do you mean by "put me right in the dung"?
- What action did stepchange take?
- Did they include Arrow/RMA in the DMP without you agreeing to it?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

hi Fermi, and I thank you for your swift response.
To answer your questions :-
1. No, was never on my DMP plan.
2. I did not tell Arrow Global about my DMP. They snooped and found it themselves.
3. They wrote to StepChange of their own accord, NO input from me.
4. StepChange wrote to me informing me that I broke the terms of the Debt Management Plan, thus were going to stop my plan. I e-mailed them due to not being able to get through on the phone, (I work, so rang at around 5:30pm, but this is apparently a very busy time for them), got a reply yesterday, thankfully keeping me on the plan.
5. See above.
6. No, that would breach the terms of the plan.
Once again, thank you for the quick response.2024 rolls on...0 -
In that case I would say that was out of order and you should make a formal complaint to Arrow, stating that you expect some redress for their actions otherwise you will be making a complaint to the FOS.
I would also complain formally to the FCA. email consumer.queries@fca.org.uk with full complaint details. FCA can't do anything on individual cases, but they keep records of firm's misbehaviours, so important to add this to their file. If there are enough complaints and bad practice they may take action.
I would also make a formal complaint to s StepChange. They should not be accepting or acting on the unsolicited and unverified claims of 3rd parties. OK they rectified it, but that cancellation letter should never have gone out in the first place.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
