Plumbing/drains advice please

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone could offer me any advice/ideas about why we are suffering a problem with drain smell in the kitchen? Our waste water goes into a pipe which is straight through the concrete floor, rather than through the wall, and we have no outside drain under the window as you would usually see. We had our kitchen refitted in August and even after removing the horrible rotten undersink unit, the smell of damp/drains still persisted, particularly after using the dishwasher, with the smell seemingly coming from the space under the sink. So we checked behind the cupboard and found that the cap/cover on the waste water pipe had been left unsealed and slightly ajar. Our kitchen supplier sent a plumber who resealed the cap and all seemed fine until we used the dishwasher last night and the smell returned with a vengeance. Any suggestions on what we should be looking at next please? Thanks and sorry for the long email - DIY stuff is not my strong point!

It would be handy if you could put up a few photos of the plumbing.0

I hope these work! The first one is the pipes under the sink and the second is the waste pipe into the floor which has (hopefully!) been resealed

You shouldn't need to 'seal' that type of blanking cap - if you are having to do that then you have a different issue. You could get a replacement cap which may have a better 'snug' fit around the waste pipe?
I can see what looks like a damp floor - which implies water from elsewhere - has the drain backfilled at any point?

The plumbing under the sink looks ok - your sink and appliance waste are all going through a standard trap.
I'd focus on the red waste pipe - I'd expect that to have a much tighter fitting seal to stop any air/smells getting out.
Also, as Ruski asks - where has that moisture/staining come from? Is it a slow leak from the stop-c*o*c*k* or has the drain over-flowed - it could be a blockage in the drain that's causing the problem.0 -
Thanks for advice so far guys. Our stopcock was leaking when we moved in - and had clearly been leaking badly for some time as the undersink cupboard was rotted through! We had that sorted back in July though and have had no problems with it since so could it possibly be a stain from that? We checked the outside drain today, turned a tap on in the kitchen and it all seemed to be running through without a problem, although the water did take a little while to appear (it does run right under the house though). Our washer goes through the same pipework and I've used that without issue three times today so would that suggest the problem is with the dishwasher itself or the piping for that?0

Sorry, forgot to say the wastepipe is always hidden behind the washer so if water had flowed out I wouldn't actually be able to see.0
