OR Interview :-/

You'll be okay. Deep breath, pen in hand, bit of paper & everything you could possibly need within easy reach. That includes drink of tea/coffee/water. If you are not certain of anything asked of you say so. The OR's are doing a job & don't judge. They do listen, but do try not to waffle on much though. Put it this way, if all is ok, you are just under a year away from being discharged! I was 'you' last year - I survived the year!

Hi all,
So it's all over!!
I had the same lady who gave me my initial chat and she couldn't have been lovelier. She began by making sure I knew I could stop for a breather at any point if I needed it.
We went through everything and she was surprisingly chatty asking all about my job and was very understanding about me being so ill.
We didn't have to go into an IPA at all so there wasn't any expenses to discuss which I was dreading most.
She was very supportive regarding the recent contact HMRC have been stressing me out with and ended the interview by saying if there is anything I'm worried about just to pick up the phone they will help all they can. A really nice human touch.
It lasted about 40 mins.
Thanks all so much again for your messages :-) Good luck to those with theirs coming up x0 -

That's great to hear Haitch.
I am tempted to copy and paste the above next time someone on here expresses trepidation about their interview...

Hi Dennis,
Please feel free if it will help others then by all means go ahead!
Good luck DansMum12, please let us know how you get on. I just ended up thinking no matter how difficult any of it was once the phone call was over with that was it done and dusted.
I didn't feel rushed to answer anything, i took a deep breath when asked anything that I couldn't remember immediately. I figured if they want correct answers it's worth taking a minute or two longer than rush and have to correct it later on in the summary. x0 -
Great to hear it went well :T
Despite being a fairly straightforward case my interview lasted over 2 hours but I told myself that nothing could be as bad as my life had become (stress worry etc) - and would have continued to be if I hadn't taken the BR route. Nothing much happens now - a few letters confirming some things from the OR and that's about it. Well done on moving forward to a debt/stress free life :beer:0 -
Pleased you are off to a good start on the Bankruptcy road :-)0

Just to add, I received an invoice today from a creditor and there was an extra 50p on it that wasn't originally. I called my OR worried it was going to cause probs as I've signed my forms etc but she was just as lovely and adjusted the amount there and then without any hassle!0
