gas cooker recommendations

please recommend a good cheap gas cooker (space available 60cm) looked in Currys but the cheap ones look cheap, so I'll have to save, would prefer cast iron pan grills and no glass lid.

I've just bought a cheap fridge and it looks just as good as ones twice the price...

Haven't you answered your questions. There is no such thing as cheap and good. Its cheap OR good.

Have to say with cookers you get what you pay for. My cannon is going strong after 12 years. I would avoid anything in the stoves/belling group.

    What are you calling cheap?

To some cheap might be £2,000!

With the vast majority of domestic appliances you get what you pay for. Generally when we say something is 'good' its normally in comparison to others at the same price point.

just to be clear, I did imply the cheap ones were no good so needed to save...for a dearer one.

I didn't ask for recommendations for a cheap cooker But as cheap as possible for a decent one.

Cast Iron supports, double oven (not that we use the top oven for that purpose) no glass lid, fully programmable main oven. Ours (c60gpxf) has a grill tray on sliding supports - just like opening a fully extending kitchen drawer - a nice feature :)

Looks great, was looking at this one http://ao.com/product/EKG6120AOX-Electrolux-Gas-Cooker-Stainless-Steel-28681.aspx?&WT.z_PT=MDA&WT.z_MT=Search&WT.z_RTM=PLA&WT.z_DT=c&WT.z_AT=Cookers&WT.z_BR=Electrolux&WT.z_FT=Free%20Standing&WT.z_PC=EKG6120AOX_SS&WT.srch=1, but your suggestion looks better, thanks, think that's the one.

    Hadn't heard of Cannon before.
