I noticed in Sainsburys some of the basics meat ranges have vanished, such as Diced BeefLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0

Just bumping this back up, to remind people..
as the further we get to Christmas, and they start packing the shelves with the 'luxury premium' stuff the more the basic stuff will be taken off the shelves...
I should imagine this will happen with the fresh stuff at the start of December...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Still the basics custard at the Sainsburys near me. Some supermarkets will stock the value stuff on the shelves but narrow the facing on the shelf. It could be four cans, packs etc then reduce it to two so can fit half as much. Thus sometimes it runs out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I noticed the small, cheap swiss rolls had vanished from Morrisons recently which we love sliced and covered in chocolate custard. Thought they must have been discontinued but wondering now if they'll come back in the new year. Hope so as they make a really cheap pudding.

That reminds me I used to buy cheap jam swiss rolls from Asda (but I think now disappeared) to make trifle. So much easier and cheaper than sponge cakes.0
