thought I would remind people.
normally from now on the big supermarkets tend to stop selling some value/basic brand items, to make room for the more expensive premium Christmas food etc..
so best to try and stock up on the value/basic items you normally buy, just incase they are not on the shelves in the lead up to Christmas...

One product that will disappear In Sainsbury's will be Value Coleslaw.
Has disappeared every year for at least for the last 5 years in there. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -
The value custard disappeared from our Sainsburys a couple of months ago, so I wondered if they'd stopped making it altogether... (It's not bad, and lower calories than the others!).
It frustrates me that they also get rid of some cheaper household things - our store reduces the stationery section to 3M and Sellotape tape only, for example....
I appreciate the reminder - will stock up this weekend. They'll think we are joining the 'Ebola preppers' trend I've been reading about in the US!0 -
Sometimes they use Christmas as an excuse to let something popular disappear.
I used to buy good value, own brand kippers from Iceland and they went one Christmas never to return.
A couple of weeks ago I asked where the Cremant de Jura was in Aldi. Gone for Christmas the said. So good value fizzy sparkly chardonnay isn't good for Christmas.!! Emailed Customer Services and it's discontinued.:(0 -

What is chicken roll?
If you don't like Value Custard you probably won't like Value Chicken Roll :rotfl:
It's the bits of chicken that don't make it into nuggets extruded into a large cylinder of vaguely chicken-tasting solid form, then thinly sliced and used for sandwiches.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Can't say I've ever noticed products disappearing.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
