50% off what? The cost of the house? The cost of the kitchen?
If so, jump at it!
Seriously, you need to decide what you want.
On the information you have given, it is difficult to advise.
Have you read MSE's Consumer Rights article?0 -
Offered 50% of the extras cost back , my view as it's tiling it will cost more to fix than this - will read consumer rights link so thanks for this0

Ok, well my simple mind tells me that if they haven't supplied what they should've supplied then you are entitled to your money back... not 50% of your money back.
Maybe get a quote from someone else for putting the stuff right and present that to the builder.0 -
cheers - they did just over half the work - it was chrome trim edging - they forgot to do a section around a door
Also the "order" was just written down as chrome edging and no specific measurement was taken
The deeloper has acknowledged the work should have been done but it was forgotten
I'm trying to work out my recourse legally
Can I get them to do all the work?
I'm I entitled to a refund in full?
I suspect doing the extra work would cost more than the total original work to the builder as other trades would need to be involved.0 -
