Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regs 2013

Something just occurred to me. Even if these regulations were applicable to PPC contracts, the RK cannot cancel the contract because the RK is not a party to the contract. Only the driver can cancel the contract and he can't do that without admitting to being the driver!

I thought of that but if the consumer who is being held liable in law is the one being asked to pay (keeper liability) then surely that person can cancel the 'contract'. And we wouldn't want the keeper to have to name the driver in order to achieve this, of course.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's an intriguing question. Certainly not something that whoever drafted Schedule 4 thought of! What a mess they created.
I would love to see what a court made of this, but obviously you want the right defendant, can't just use an ordinary punter as a guinea pig!Je suis Charlie.0 -

Nah. Euro at Sainsbobs don't want to play, Highview at Waterfields don't want to play, and PE at the local Morrisons is three hours. Damned if I'm driving to Morrisons and hanging around for three hours! I've tried double-dipping, I've tried various stunts with my pushbike and my motorbikes, but nada!
I already got PE kicked out of Aldi (breach of planning conditions) so I can't get a ticket there LOL!
There is the 30-minutes'-free car park at the local hospital (CP Plus), but it's very busy and it doesn't seem right to deprive a genuine user of a space even if it is in a good cause.
There's always APCOA at Luton Airport but it doesn't really seem worth the drive now that they don't allege keeper liability.Je suis Charlie.0
