Keep it and use it regularly, paying off in full each month.

thank you, small amounts then always pay off in full?

will this be better than having credit available that im not needing to use? x

Reduce the credit limit to something you might need in an emergency, £500 - £1000.
Set up a direct debit to pay it off every month in full.
Then spend small amounts on the credit card but only things you were planning to buy anyway. Use it for internet purchases to avoid giving out your debit card online.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

If you have other card(s) that you use. Then cancel it. There's nothing positive in having it open.
