Hi does anyone know if there s a free way of keeping my bt email address or do I have to pay £1.60 for a premium one please. Or would I be best to make a new email address and try and inform everyone but that seems a daunting task.:o Thank you

Do you not have email addresses where you can email with the new address .0

Get yourself a new email address before you leave. Set it to collect stuff from your BT mail account or redirect your mail from the BT account to your new email.
Send one email to everyone you want to inform of your new address. Just BCC each one and they won't know who else received the notice. The sooner you start the less stress you'll have.....It's not really as difficult as it first appears...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Thank you this is the kind of thing I wanted to hear. Trouble is I don't know how to set it to collect stuff from my BT mail account or redirect it to my new email. Would a hotmail or outlook.com address be ok please ? Could you tell me what I'd have to do to do what you suggest please. Then once I've done that try and send one email to everyone.Thank you0 -
buy a .co.uk domain [exmp 123couk] and use that say as mail@123couk pointing to say googleemail ,but where ever you go in future if you own domain you can use email to point to any other if you change0

Hi I understand that even less lol. How much do I pay to buy a.co.uk domain. Pointing to say googlemail?0 -
You keep your bt email address, no cost. I have mine from years ago, but tbh moved onto gmail. find it much better, and you can autolink to your old address(s) so that you can let people know your new one as they use your old one.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Set up a new Gmail account, then follow https://support.google.com/mail/answer/164640?hl=en
There is a similar option for outlook if you want to go that way.0 -
Another option is to get a free GMX email account.....http://www.gmx.com/
Then set up their easy 'Mail Collector' to pick up your BT mail.
GMail or GMX both painless to set up with plenty of help articles when you think you are stuck.....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
