Credit Card Refund

Hi,
I recently paid Cunard for some excursions on a holiday in Jan 2015, in dollars with my Halifax clarity credit card. This was converted to pounds which I then paid off. Unfortunately the excursions have been cancelled by Cunard and the money is being repaid to my credit card in dollars. If after exchanging to pounds, the money is less than the original charge to my card can I claim the difference from the credit card company under clause 75?

If its more do you think they should be able to claim it off you?
You paid $500 and got refunded $500 so there is no liability to the merchant and so no liability under S75. These are just the risks of doing international purchases and they can work in your favour as well as your detriment.0 -

If it is a significant amount you could ask Cunard to cover this difference but I doubt that your credit card provider is going to be interested."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0
