Thought I was on official US gov website site for applying for an Esta & have just checked my bank account & have been charged $126 instead of just $14.how can they get away with this? Exasperated & angry to say the least!

    If they have delivered the service they promised (forwarding your details to the real ESTA site), and the price was clear before you paid, then I doubt there's much you can do.

    OTOH, if they do not deliver the service, or if they misrepresented the price, you may be able to dispute the transaction with your bank. However, I don't know what implications this would have for the ESTA if it had already been submitted.
