Ive had this problem but its more annoying than any thing else and ive search google and seemed to have found info on it but still cant get to correct it.
Several months ago my bottom task bar became kind of see though, as in the picture below.
As you can see you can see my desktop wall paper through the bottom task bar.
I'm using windows 8 but cannot think what ive done for it to go see through.
I dont supose anyone can help me get my task bar back to a non see through one please.

It's called aero or glass effect. Your computer has suddenly decided that it has a good enough graphics card to give you some eye candy, but you don't like it. Google the above to see how to remove it...0

Or someones been using your PC?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I don't know about Windows 8, but this doesn't work on Windows 8.1.
There's a suggested solution/work-around posted on http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-desktop/windows-8-and-81-taskbar-transparency/2aabf8d7-2087-47c7-89cb-e6bea7d8fb1e (see the third reply).0 -
