Should an en-suite match the bedroom colour scheme?

Hi, I recently saw one of those House doctor/How to spruce up your house shows and they said your en-suite decor should match the bedroom. Not that I'm thinking of selling at all but they suggested it would make the en-suite feel bigger.
My en-suite was new house magnolia same as the bedroom. I then painted the en-suite blue and it now has blue and grey glass tiles along with blue towels and accessories (The room has no window), where as my bedroom has been changed recently from to a toffee colour with brown and cream accessories. Should the en-suite be the same colour scheme as the bedroom or doesn't it matter?

i dont think its essential that the two match but it would be better if they did.

Thanks I had the bedroom blue and hated it. Have now got cream bedding and brown curtains so can't really paint the walls blue.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. How you decorate your house is totally irrelevant until you come to sell. So, if you like blue with brown keep it that way.
If / When you do sell be prepared to make them match and paint the en suite a light colour or preferably white to make it look as big as possible (particularly without a window).0
