Wet room heating

We're having a ground floor bathroom converted into a wet room and one quote has included underfloor heating. I have no experience of under floor heating so have no idea whether it would be better than the current radiator.
Has anyone had under floor heating installed and wished they hadn't?

If its electric UFH on a timber floor it won't heat the room. You will still need a radiator, preferably stainless steel
On a concrete slab, if the slab is well insulated you could go for a high wattage matt and this would provide reasonable heat to warm the room
UFH is a small cost when installed in a decent spec'd bathroom, something that can't be added later as its usually fitted under the tanking membranesHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
We have a wet room with just a radiator and its enough. Ours has a rubber like floor which is quite warm underfoot I suspect if you are tiling it it may feel colder. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

The builder we'll probably use hasn't included UFH. His quote says he will "Remove complete floor to the existing bathroom, provide and install a ‘Wade’ waste and pipe work to external drainage , lay insulation. DPC and 100 mm trowel finished concrete to falls to form level floor shower. Latex floor and lay non slip flooring coved up walls into tile cap strip."
If it's a relatively small additional cost then it sounds like it might be worth doing. I think we'd probably keep the radiator as it can always be turned off if the underfloor heating gets the bathroom warm enough.0
