I don't think that it will be a separate allowance but if it is, I think that it is no a 'no brainer' to invest at least in the lowest risk opportunity of P2P.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

P2P is unlikely to be low risk. Chasing yields is fools gold.0 -

I didn't say it would be 'low risk'! I said invest in the lowest risk, i.e. the lower risk part of P2P (offering the lowest return to reflect the lower risk, but not low risk).
At the moment I don't have anything in P2P because I don't think that the return is good enough because of the risk, but if it was tax free and a separate ISA allowance, that would be enough to change my mind. After all we are talking peanuts here and in any case it won't be a separate allowance.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

P2P offers an interesting opportunity for me to diversify my portfolio. After the market correction (??) this last week, my P2P funds were steady as a rock.
As with most investments, it is not simply a binary choice. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
