Trouble accessing Tesco Account after Credit Card Application

I don't know if this is a common problem or perhaps been brought up before so apologies if I'm asking something that has already previously been discussed.

Today I applied for a Tesco Balance Transfer Credit Card with one of those special offer dealies of 33 months 0% interest. Went through fine, seemed to be accepted, and asked for my other credit card details for the balance transfer which I input as requested.

Although I was asked to set up a preliminary account, for some reason I can't seem to login whatsoever since applying. It throws up a system error every single time I try and login and I'm sure I'm putting in the right security code as when I put in the wrong one it will still tell me. However, although I've tried with two different browsers and on my phone I can't seem to gain access and wanted to check that everything had indeed gone through fine.

I also haven't received any email confirmation from Tesco at all about the application, and it's concerning me a tad.

Is this the norm for Tesco upon new applications? Obviously I'll try and give them a call tomorrow if it comes to it but I might not have time as I'm busy all day.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks :)

  • I also had trouble at first. I was using the latest version of internet explorer and I could get in but it was logging me out as soon as I clicked on the account. A similar issue arose when I tried using Chrome. I switched to Firefox and its worked perfectly for the last 2 months. So I'd suggest trying that if you havent already.


    You said you've tried different browsers though so the issue you're having may not be the same as mine.


    Regarding not receiving email confirmation... some don't send them. Nationwide recently told me they don't auto-inform via email due to 'security concerns'.
