Flat roof started to leak in the rain

The part of house where flat roof is leaking is bathroom and the water is dripping from the bulb light.
Light no longer working.
Please recommend help of a genuine and at the same time good if not better tradesPerson who knows what they do.
I have no clue about the flat roofing work and I am in the state of Panic attack.
Got insurance for home but unlikely to claim for now if costs less.

Roof description is that it's 2 meters by 3 meters in size,
3 pieces of wood interior roof, 2 light bulbs fitted but only 1 working and 2 switches for bulbs and 1 exhaust fan.
Material fitted is black and slate in color with chipping / small stones on top. Height is about 2,5? Meters.

Just 'cos it's dripping through the bulb doesn't mean that's were the leak will be. The water will be running along a beam.

How the hell is anybody going to recommend a roofer when they have no idea of where you live. Find a roofer locally and get the roof fixed. It might well be that the light will dry out naturally once the leak has been stooped.
Any insurance you have will not pay for the roof to be repaired. That work would be classified as lack of building maintenance. The insurance would pay for redecoration of areas damaged by the water.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

No one can recommend a tradesperson without knowing approximately where you are.

Flat roofing is a specialist area, though many builders dabble in it and a local one might fix this temporarily if the cause is obvious. Usually, when they leak they are nearing the end of their useful life.

It's not an insurance matter, but a maintenance issue.
  • I am in birmingham and the speacialist has to be consulted.

As mentioned by fellow member it is a mess created by local tradesman as it was done less than 4 years ago by useless nut.

I need a speacialist worker or person that knows what they can do.

The light is no longer working in raining season but once it's dried it comes back to life.

I have done a research / reviews on google and it seems to be no quick fix.

Money wasted and now don't want to do the same.
  • Melt plastic bottles and pour onto roof that is flat.

Job done for a safe period of time.

Don't call out anyone else for roof job. Sick of inexperienced tradesmen.
