Recently been getting loads of these in the house - they look like mosquitos... (in England)

mosquito in the north of England? I thought they need hot weather? we have a big puddle on our fibreglassed balcony - could that be the cause?

Apparently there have been more than 30 species of mosquito recorded in the UK. The newspapers would have us panicking about dangerous killer mosquitoes invading from foreign shores, but we have our own mosquitoes to worry about. I noticed outside the house on the walls there are many there...


Is there anything I should do or just keep doors and windows shut and leave them alone?

Mosquitos are the only animal that lives all over the world. Certainly every habited place in the world
