I have Howden's kitchen ranges - what are the MFI equivalent?

Options
Please could someone tell me the MFI equivalents of

Hexham Oak
Malvern
Tewkesbury Oak

(if they have equivalents that is!)

I know Glendevon Cream is the same is Space Cream, but Howdens don't do the big chunky handles that MFI do. Presumably I could source the MFI handles separately?

Hubby wants to be a bit more "conservative" and "safe" and go for the oak effect kitchen with granite worktop. I want to be a bit more "modern" and go for the space cream with the wooden worktop!

I know the Howden's/MFI units might not be identical, but just curious as to the MFI equivalents.

Thanks.

I've got Glendevon cream kitchen units sat in my dining room at the moment waiting to be installed and i'm sure i've picked the same style big chunky handles that MFI do from Howdens.

Hexham Oak is Malton Oak (we actually topped up with a couple of bits from Howdens and they are identical).

Our kitchen was finished today with the exception of the granite worktops, but it is already a beautiful kitchen. It is timeless; will last a good few years and looks really classy. :)

Howden's told me they didn't do the chunky handles that MFI do. If you look in the brochures, I thought the Howdens ones looked a bit thinner, but there's probably not much in it. Let me know what your kitchen looks like when its done.... xx

I don't think howden's do the really chunky handle, they do the thinner version. I suppose there's nothing stopping you buying the handles from MFI...

My local MFI will even pricebeat Howdens if you take a valid quote in!
  • I'll take a look at the handles tonight I can't remember how chunky they are from memory.
The one thing that put me off MFI was they wanted paying in full before delivery and delivery was 6 weeks.

We put the order in at the end of April but put delivery on hold. We called three weeks in advance to get it in the third week of July and that was fine. It arrived on time (early actually) with all the bits.

I've been studying the pictures of the MFI Malton Oak and it looks more like the Howdens Tewkesbury than the Hexham, is it definitely the Hexham?

The Hexham shaker style doors have a thin strip on the inside of the verticals of the square, I cannot see these on the Malton looking at the zoomed in pictures????
  • MFi say they don't sell these handles separately any one any ideas?
