Isolation valve leaking

Hi, any advice would be appreciated...
I have an isolation valve that is being used as a stop ie. one end is a blanking cap nut, the other is a 15mm copper water pipe. It is located under my front door mat well, so in quite confined quarters.
The drip is slow, only about 5ml overnight and appears to be coming from the adjusting screw on the valve.
Is it possible to sort this out without replacing the valve, or should i just bite the bullet, turn off the water and replace with a proper stop end compression fitting?
My issue is that when i have tried to attach new compression fittings in the past (not this one), they always seem to end up with a slow drip, despite ptfe taping.

If you have (and can get it in situ) an olive puller, isolate the supply, remove the olive and stick on an stop end:

These things are demountable (so reusable).0 -

Poor advice. If fitted correctly the olive will have crushed into the pipe a little. Push fit work on minute tolerances and either the o ring won't seal or worse the bite teeth may not grip and could blow off
Olive can be cut through on the diagonal with a junior then split off with a flat driver. Use a new comp capHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
