Everquest, playing non-stop except for sleep (and toilet breaks!) for two weeks during Easter. My housemates had gone "home" for the holiday, I'd awaken, log in, around 10pm realise I was extremely hungry, order a large kebab combo to be delivered, keep playing. I kept playing during a third week, but I was dragged outside by friends a few times, where I'd offer to cast Spirit of Wolf on people to increase their run-speed for 40 minutes in exchange for donations (just a couple of silver pieces would have been fine). Even ended up with a T-shirt that read "Got SoW?"

Cheaper than a two-week drinking bender, at least. :)

I did something similar when WoW: Cataclysm launched.

Challenge was 1 week, no heirlooms level 1-85 on a new character on games release. Did it in 6 days on my new Shaman, friend of mine cheated a bit hit cap a couple hours before me, but he had 20% on Heirlooms and a weapon (axe on Warrior which helped massively). Was literally, wake up, play, eat, play play eat play, sleep and repeat for a week.

Needless to say I felt like a slob after that week was over and I had to go back to work.

I used to play Final Fantasy XI (online MMORPG) like I had nothing else in the world to do. It's fair to say I was addicted, especially at weekends. I used to play from 6pm on a Friday evening until I could no longer stay awake. Which was usually Sunday early evening. So around 48-50 hrs straight every weekend for at least a couple of months before I decided it was way too much!

My son and I stayed up all night playing Ghost Recon : Island Thunder.

2x TVs & 2x Xboxes ... He was 14 and it was a weekend (before someone rings the NSPCC lol)

It was a great gaming memory, playing as a team co-op.

I need to be in bed by 10pm now though :D and he's 25 so probably has better things to do nowadays.

I loved that game, and I love that was a relationship you had with your son!

Plenty of times in the past i've spent more than 24 hours playing games (usually online ones)

But the longest i've spent on a game was 5 days straight, but that was making rather than playing, not really an experience i wish to repeat
  • About 18 hours a day, for 3 weeks...

This was Fallout New Vegas, which actually became my life for those 3 weeks, as I had nothing better to do at the time, I would fire up on waking and it would be the last thing before bed...

Couldn't do it now, work and all that.

Ah, memories of the Mojave :D
  • can spend up to 8 hours gaming. Got 600+ hour logged on on forza 5. i need friends.
  • About 14 hours on Dragons of Atlantis (Fb game) I'd waited up for the new egg and armour release and was absolutley determined to find them before going to sleep. I did eventually fall asleep on my keyboard and woke to a very attractive key imprint across my face lol.
I still now regularly spend 4/5 hours on Skyrim and Mass effect, time just flies and before I know it it's 2 in the morning lol.
  • At university I had a 3 day (night and day) co-op game of empire earth against the computer on hard stopping only for meals and toilet.

I had a year out of uni working full time and managed to play WoW for over 100 days play time in less than 12 months, I also had a girlfriend (now wife) I would travel the length of the country to see for long weekends so must have averaged a ridiculous number of hours. It is a life consuming game and glad I got out when I did!
    Thinking critically since 1996....
  • On a day off I regularly play on the PC for ten hours playing games like Rome:Total War but I think my longest session was probably when I first got my hands on World of Tanks.

I played it for 19 hours straight slept for about 3 hours and then played for another 18 hours -at the end of it my mouse hand was frozen in the shape of the mouse and because I was staring at a monitor the whole time I couldn't really focus my eyes and I felt quite ill lol.
