Will i get redundancy

Options
Hi Guys, I have been employed as a Full time Hair Stylist for the past 7 yrs and my employer is going to retire and his son is planning on taking over the lease on the salon and turning it into rent a chair which is self employed.

I don't want to do self employed so any ideas where this leaves me please when he retires will he have to make me redundant?

this has been going on for months now and he won't answer any questions is just very vague about everything.

Speak to someone at ACAS. or CAB.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • its tricky as I am the only full time stylist as the other one is due back from maternity leave but only want to do 2 days a week and they wont even be honest with her about what is happening.
all I want to know is do they have to give me notice of when they are to retire and do they have to pay me redundancy as the Rent a Car only works if you are self employed
