Replacing lock = how much?

For the front door. Nothing wrong with the lock - just want keys changed.
I think its a 5 lever multi-point deadlock not sure. Its a normal door with handle on each side but you lock with a key. Turn twice to double lock.
Will the whole lock need to be replaced or can the barrel just be done?
It looks like it all part of the door so I cant see how to do it myself but Im guessing locksmith is the best bet?
Any idea of cost?

Does the lock look like this? http://www.lockandkeyshop.co.uk/acatalog/euro2.jpg (Euro cylinder)
If so, you only need a new cylinder and it just takes a few minutes to change, with just a screwdriver required.
You'll need the measurements of the existing cylinder (from the fixing hole to the internal side and the fixing hole to the external side) to make sure you get the right size replacement.
Prices for a Euro cylinder range from about £10 for a basic one to £lots for a brand name high security one. I got an ABS Avocet for (about £40) last time I changed a lock.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Doubt it's a euro barrel.
Cost of lock will be about £25 for something reliable and secure.
Fitted?, £50+
hope that helps.;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Or if you employ a local locksmith like my 80+ yr old neighbour did, they charged £186.
To say I was seething is an understatement
