hi,
just had a crack develop on my windscreen. The car is due for first mot next week and need it sorted asap as am going abroad on holiday.
Can I book into Autoglass and then contact my insurance company (tesco) or do I have to contact the insurance company first? As far as I know my insurance policy covers windscreen of course I have to pay the excess.

I had mine replaced with Autoglass a couple of years ago. I didn't contact my insurance, Autoglass took care of it all. I think my excess was £60.0

Some insurance companies insist you go with certain people. If you don't, the amount they pay out can drastically reduce.
I suggest you contact your insurance company, why not?0
