Electrical Useage Query

Hi All,

I've recently moved into new premises and I've noticed the consumption of electricity to be extremely higher than at my old premise on a like for like basis.

I have an electrician coming around next week to correct some wiring and do a safety check on the appliances, is it possible to get the electrician to check for higher than normal consumption of the appliances?

It would be a lot cheaper to buy a plug in monitor and do it yourself, rather than pay a professional to do it for you.

I'd have thought though the electrician would be more than capable of carrying out this task, for a price.
