Since you were the one asking for religious/political posts to cease I'm not sure why you felt the need to post this.

Was it just to stir things up a bit more??

Also for what it's worth don't believe a word of that story.

There's nothing wrong with the subject matter if it's delivered in a proper manner. Our late friend was doing it all wrong. Cotta has done it right - in my opinion. Everyone has their levels of tolerance though and yours may be different. If you feel the post is inappropriate then report it and let admin decide.

I've never come across this in my life. I've found when it comes to grass roots people are very decent. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I haven't come across it too often but it does exist. I just spoke to my friend and she advises that the crux of the problem was the sofa was going to a predominately Loyalist area although the friend in question is not a Loyalist.

I'm more familiar with my own area so I have to admit I've no ideas of the dangers of someone straying into the "wrong" area in Belfast. Perhaps the shop has had bad experiences in the past. The safety of staff would be a priority for them.

It's a terrible shame though - an awful indictment on society here. We so desperately need to get over this. I'd say the majority of the population are like us - don't care, but it only takes one idiot.

I think the oddest business in Belfast was probably Mickey Marley though. He went everywhere. Kids today don't know what they're missing.
