Failed mortgage valuation

That does seem bizarre. Those factors clearly affect the value of the house, but none of them make the house unsellable. If you price a house low enough anything will sell, even a house with no windows at all would sell if it was priced far enough below houses with windows. I can't think why he/she wouldn't give a valuation at all.
Exactly my thoughts! People on these forums have advised to walk away but we are struggling to see why we should as there is nothing wrong with it according to the valuation. So we are getting a different Santander valuer out.0 -
We've decided to abandon Santander and try Halifax. If it all falls through this time then it wasn't meant to be!0

Good luck, hope it works out0

Hi everyone!
It went without a hitch and was valued by Halifax at the asking price.
So glad we went with our instincts on this one. We are so relieved!
We are hoping for a mortgage offer next week. They haven't approved the application yet so fingers still crossed!0 -
Good news, thanks for updating us.0
