Interesting accident, whose fault should this be?

What if I were to say

And the sole responsibility for this rests with the driver?

If you were to say that I'd think you were answering something else.

JustinR1979 - just to confirm - do you acknowledge the existence of 'filtering' as a legitimate manouvre for motorbikes?

Biker overtook on approach to a junction, which is beyond stupid. 100% biker's fault, 0% car driver's fault.

Is it a junction or a driveway?

I can't tell from that angle.

Basically yes, head on a swivel...... He should have kept checking both ways.

I'm not disputing that the biker will be held at least partially to blame, but what gets me is the tribal mentality of car drivers, all sticking together and only because they hate bikers, coming out with the usual BS stereotypes and nonsense arguments (like queue jumping)......... It's no different at all to actual racism. People think it's ok to attack a minority group because they feel like they can get away with it.

Nope. An idiot is an idiot. Whether they were driving a car or riding a bike, or even driving a jumbo jet, to overtake when all the traffic has stopped in front of you like that is idiotic.

Also, I don't have anything against bikers in general, but I find that a lot of idiots do gravitate towards motorbikes. This is probably because of a bike's ability to accelerate quickly which means they can be more proficient dumbasses.

True, it is hard to tell from the video.

Even if it's not a junction, the motorcyclist should have been travelling about 5-10mph max there, alongside the cars, and then would have seen that all of the cars had stopped and would have seen why they had stopped.

But because he flew out and sped along, determined to save a few seconds of precious time, he caused an accident.

    Can't argue with that.

Door slammers and organ donors, can't argue with the nick names either.
