Can some one help advice please.
A few years ago a paid a deposit on an off plan property investment abroad, via an english company at a seminar.
I paid with a credit card cheque a deposit of £1000,my question is this does section 75 regarding cards goods and services apply too card cheques as well as the card itself.??

The answer is no.
The cheque is considered a cash transaction and therefore not covered by S75.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be0 -
A) No because a cheque isnt covered
Its the total value of the item that counts and presumably this is above the £30,000 limit for S75?
C) I seem to recall that property is excluded from S75, but happy to stand corrected on this one0
