We arrived at Leeds/Bradford at. 3.30am today having checked in on line with Thomsons. We had to queue with others only to be told systems were down and had to be checked in manually. The at 5am a coach would take us to Doncaster.
Told us to go and sit in the cafe which was closed.
Never again Leeds/Bradford. We usually go from Donny and Manchester which we will do in the future.

Sounds like a Thomson problem.
Are you sure the airport's at fault?0 -
We went through Leeds Bradford on the 4th October at about 7am. 20 minutes after arriving we were airside with a coffee.
Great airport and very efficent staff.
BTW we flew Jet2.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
TOM571 - the inbound flight - diverted to Doncaster last night. Presumably it was related to the poor weather last night0

I am not sure how anyone can 'avoid' the airport if you already have tickets?
A good heads up though to get there earlierNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
So because one airline has a problem it's the airports fault?
LBIA is a brilliant airport. Much quicker than others I have flown from to get through.Zebras rock0 -

The airport itself is pretty good but the travel links are appalling. Road and public transport access is probably the worst of any Northern/Midlands airports apart from Doncaster which is currently being addressed with a new link road from the M18.0 -

Sounds like a specific Thomson problem with your particular flight
The title of your post is misleading it implies there is a system problem affecting LBA airport0 -
From the Leeds Bradford website:As a result of adverse weather conditions, Leeds Bradford International Airport is presently experiencing some delays.
We recommend you contact your airline or tour operator and check the status of your flight before arriving at the airport.
You can also check the latest flight information by clicking onto our arrivals and departures page.
No systems failure just some adverse weather. Most flights seem to be going with small delays. There's been one cancelled, and the OP's flight which is going from Doncaster.
The flight is now scheduled to depart Doncaster at 0830. I'm sure a 2 and a half hour delay and a coach trip to Doncaster isn't the best way to start a holiday but there's no need for all the drama OP! Relax and enjoy your holiday!0 -
Seems to be just a Thomson problem:

LBA is a great little airport. Just watch out as over the last couple of years the new owners have started to squeeze very penny they can out of customers. £1 to use a trolley, £2 to drop off at airport.:(£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
