Hi, there is a new Facebook advert called kitchen offers, I clicked on it to have a look and ask for a brochure ( there is no web page) instead of a brochure I got a text to say a kitchen planner would call to do a free estimate and bring the brochure.
The salesman came and discussed the kitchen then gave me a price, halved it and then asked if i wanted to order it. The next thing I was asked for a small deposit, £100 cash ...
Then said it would be deducted off the final price.
Alarm bells started ringing, the guy wouldn't give me his name and had no business card, the order he wrote out didn't include vat and the company didnt appear to have a company name.
Has any one come across similar ? Company name was Best value Kitchens of europe....

Every Vance Miller company works the same!!!!!!!
Did you pay the £100??0 -
We had a visit from a guy on 15th April 2015 from Best Value Kitchens Of Europe. He was recommended by our builder as 'his mate had used them previously'. The agent did not leave a business card or any brochures and seemed very slack with his pricing of units / Taps etc. He did show us one sample door but said he could obtain others if required. My husband and I are usually very cautious when making large purchases but having had numerous kitchen plans and quotes decided to pay the £100 deposit on the spot. Immediately that the agent left, we felt a little stupid as something that looks too good to be true often is.
On reviewing various web reviews we were horrified to read of the companies heritage and immediately sent an email to cancel and ask for a refund and we followed this up with a recorded delivery letter.
Yesterday the letter was returned 'gone away'.
I have since called the company which still appears to be advertising online. After being transferred to various different people, I spoke to someone in deliveries - when I asked to be transferred to cancellations she hung up on me? Eventually I did speak to a member of staff who advised that the company is now in LIQUIDATION.and that their bank accounts are frozen. I have been told that my name is on file and that they will refund in due course. I personally feel that we Can wave goodbye to this £100, however I supposed we are a little relieved that this is all we have lost. No doubt this company will open up again next week under another name. We will look at legal action but are not sure if this will be successful. Buyers please beware!!0 -

I went through the same process, I contacted the trading standards in Newbury, the guy seemed to sigh out loud when I mentioned who it was. Apparently Vance miller took the Trading standards agency through the mill and actually won his case in Manchester - the case wasn't prepared well and he walked away laughing. I am glad I only lost £100. I befriended an elderly lady on Facebook, bless her she had gone ahead with the installation, it was badly fitted, and the doors never arrived - she is diabled and in her 80's and just counldnt do anything - they just hang up laughing at her when she tries to complain, I don't think the ever had a full kitchen to sell to her its a disgrace.
I tried commenting on the face book page but they blocked me. It is scandalous that they still trade and that Facebook can't end the adverts on its pages.0 -
We have had the same experience lately..Still waiting for missing bits to turn up..Rang trading standards ..sent recorded letter...no joy...rang them again..this time advised one more letter then proceed with court action..seems like our only way to get the situation resolved because Best Kitchens Of Europe dont give a stuff...wont answer your phone calls or letters...what you supposed to do???.. they just leave you hanging after taking your money and running....DONT GO NEAR THESE ROBBING B###TARDS......

Awaits Vance's army of spammers. ...they took the site down once last year.
Part of the reason they still survive is their highly aggressive attitude to any bad publicity on the net.0 -
