    About £3.

However you'll need a supply of power where's that coming from 6" away or from the other side of the room?

    More info is needed.

hi currently there is 2 sockets in the living room and they are all at the left side wall and nothing on the right hence the reason we want to have one install on this side.

    Ground floor living room?

What's on the other side of the wall you want it on?

    What's the floor construction?
  • It will depend on where the existing cabling is, and what work is needed to get new cabling to the right place.

After it is done you will probably need a plasterer to make good and then to redecorate.

Yes you could in theory spur off that.

    If it's not a spur.

To spur off your ring main. Drill through the wall cut and fix the box on the other side and connect.

    Doable in an hour.

Not sue of the going rate £60 at a guess plus materials.

Not sure if a full test of the system is required or if they will insist it's done. That's about £90.

    Thanks

The seller of the property only had it test two months ago some sort of inspection but one or two light was off (only just got the keys)

So wanted to get a full fix at one go rather than numerous call out charge..

If you're going to get a sparky in to add sockets, then I'd seriously consider whether you actually need more than this one extra socket. In my experience, you can never have enough, even e.g. in bedrooms to give you flexibility of where you have the bed and therefore bedside lights etc.
