They follow me everywhere, them and the toddler all follow me whatever I do, If I empty bin all 3 trot out, If I make beds etc they are all following me, When others are home they do start to automatically follow but they get called back by someone and go back to whatever they were doing.

Just got out of bath both boys were right next to bath on bath mat, they had a nap as I bathed.

Toddler was with her daddy downstairs incase anyone wonders.

One thing that helped Kiki was encouraging independance in these lesser situations too. So she'd get a natural chew (pizzle stick, cows ear, etc.) when I went off to the bath, I'd scatter a handful of treats around the living room when I popped the rubbish out to the bin, put down a Kong smeared with a bit of food when I went to the loo and so on.

The idea is that you teach the dog being alone is more rewarding than following you about. However, you need to make sure you get the timing right - no point giving a chew that lasts 10 minutes and going off for a 30 minute soak, as the dog then has the 20 minutes to stress over you being away. You need a chew that lasts as long as, or just slightly longer, than the gap you're leaving the dog alone for, so that it's specifically your absence that is the cue for the yummy treat.

Can they see out of the window? Reason I ask is because I have to shut the blinds when i go out because they sit on the settee waiting for me.... not a problem but they bark at anything that goes past our house.

A car, a man, a bird, a crisp packet.... the list is endless. Even if my husband or son is in, they still sit there waiting. I had to move the coffee table too.

I should not laugh and realise this is a very serious subject and my rescue dog does howl when I leave him according to the neighbour, but only for 5 minutes or so, but I laughed at the 'crisp packet' and your dogs barking at that...lol. My dogs seem to bark more when I am in and that is when a car is heard or anyone talking or any noise outside, they cannot see out of the windows. With the dog I have had from a pup setting the rescue dog off nearly every time.

A few weeks ago it was very windy here and both dogs had gone into the garden to do their 'widdly-wees'. I had left the back door open and was walking towards it when all of a sudden they both came flying through the back door together, trying to push past each other to get in the house. The hounds of hell chasing them? No, it was a carrier bag that had blown in the garden with the wind - bless them they were really frightened.

I brought the carrier bag into the house and when they came out from under the table I let them sniff at it but of course in my hands and not inflated it was just a carrier bag but to two little dogs a big, floaty white thing flying towards them was no doubt very frightening:eek:
Benefit fraud costs £1.2b per year. Tax evasion (illegal) costs £70b, tax avoidance (legal) costs £25b, overdue receipts amount to £25b. Every year we lose 120 times more on tax than we do to benefit fraud.

I have a funny one. I'm not sure if it's separation anxiety or not. Our pup is 4 months old. Not mad keen on walkies, likes to stop and sit down but we're getting there with that.
I work nights and have to sleep on the day time. We have gradually built her up that she will go into the kitchen at 8:50 when DH goes to work. Radio on, water topped up, stair gate shut and door slightly ajar. She has her food ball and bed and some toys. No bother whatsoever and she will now stay happily until 3:30 when the kids arrive home. Let's herself out of the flap for toiletting etc.
However; she can't be left alone downstairs for me to go and put some washing upstairs. She's the same with all of us but worst with me, if we have to leave her alone, she howls and wees on the floor in front of the stair gate. She still has her toys and the radio remains on. But I'm just not able to get anything done in the house. This happens even when we've been for a really long beach walk and she's knackered. :(
