Restaurants/Good Pubs nr Abingdon

Hi
I'm going to be in the Abingdon area of Oxfordshire for my birthday next Sunday and wondered if anyone could recommend an inexpensive option for a birthday meal on Sunday night. There will be just two of us. I have a Gourmet society card and Hi Life dining card but wanted to see if there were any other recommendations besides what I can find on those websites. Either a really nice but not too expensive restaurant or 'olde worlde' pub that serves good food/wine would be great.
Thanks:beer:

Probably too late for you, but we went to the Crown and Thistle last weekend, which was lovely.0
