I've tried having a look at the best cards to use abroad and most of them appear to be Mastercard. Has anyone got any suggestions on the best Visa ones. The balance will be paid off every month.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Why do you care whether it's Visa or Mastercard? If the best card you are eligible for is a Mastercard then why not use that? However, I have a Nationwide Select Visa card, which is in the list, but you have to have a Nationwide current account.
You haven't said whether you want the card for spending, to withdraw cash, or both - different cards are best for different things.0 -
Nationwide Select CC is Visa.
AFAIK, N&P Gold debit card is Visa.0 -

Although in most destinations if they accept Mastercard they also accept Visa, I don't think it's the same everywhere. I believe Visa is preferred in many places in South America (shop fronts are littered with the Visa logo and no Mastercard references) but I don't know if there are many places that won't take Mastercard.
And yes, the N&P Debit card is a visa.0 -

A lot of places he goes to don't accept Mastercard. It would be used for purchases.0 -
Nationwide Select or Saga credit card are the only two forex free Visa credit cards that I am aware of.
The Select (officially) requires an account with Nationwide to open it and the Saga requires the applicant be 50 or over. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
