Club Lloyds Current Account Application

My wife wants to open one of the above current accounts. She is disabled. Her monthly income(small private pension + benefits),is approx. £900.Would the fact that her income is below the £1500 monthly funding amount, bar her application.Dont see nothing in t&c's about this.Has a persons savings, large or small, have any influence on current account applications?.

She can open the account however if she doesn't pay in £1500pm then she will have to pay the £5pm fee for not paying in £1500.

    Check the T&C's

Nope her savings will have very little influence on current account applications, though they will ask how much you have in savings as part of the application process.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

If she has an odd £600 in savings she can transfer this to her future Club Lloyds account in addition to the £900 income. She can then transfer the £600 right out again, confident in the knowledge that she has met the monthly requirement. Even if she only has £100 she could do the in-and-out trick six times.

Add her savings interest to her income when applying. That swells it a bit I guess.

Regarding the monthly £1500 deposit requirement. This £1500 can be moved in from another account and out within seconds if you need to. Also, it does not have be done in one £15000 chunk. You could move 3 x £500 in and out and in total that would of course stack up to £1500 deposited in the month. Do you get me?

The £1500 does NOT have to be income going in. It can be savings going in from another account

Thanks to all who replied with their advice.I thought that maybe the application would fail due to the relative small amount being paid in,instead of a bigger monthly wage.Anyhow, will now proceed with application.

    Hi All,
Update to above.Application went through relatively ok.Account now opened.Only problem encountered was when postcode was entered in the online application to determine local branch. The process stalled due to there being no local Lloyds Bank branch near me coming up.Even inputing major towns like Glasgow and Edinburgh still drew a blank.Ironic thing is,there is a BOS branch in my home town where you can carry out Lloyds banking transactions.Phoned Customer Services, they gave me postcode of a Lloyds branch somewhere in Wales.Inputed this and yippee online application started rolling again.Crazy eh, considering Lloyds have a head office in Edinburgh and apparently no Scottish branches.

I had a friend who went to live in Edinburgh. He sallied forth to look for a familiar bank. It slowly dawned on him that he was in a different country.

We have Carlisle as our branch, just hope we never need to go there! 200 mile round trip.

I noticed Halifax have returned to Scotland recently with a branch in Glasgow.
