How do I open a 2nd?
Checked online but got a notice saying "Sorry we cannot offer you a secondary current account".
Have they already withdrawn that service?

You should have checked the T&C's as they have recently changed.
You are now only allowed to have one single Classic Plus account and one Joint Classic Plus account.

I did hear they had changed but didn't know when it the new terms came into effect.
Not that fussed, might open a joint account.

there are other threads on this topic too; the new rules came in at midnight last Sunday. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

I just went to open my second account... first was opened a few weeks ago so I am before the cutoff for second accounts, but got the same message.
I opened a new window and applied without logging in... approved instantly and when I logged into my online banking about an hour later the second account was there waiting to be funded. :beer:0 -
Thank you Downhillfast.
I'll sort that tomorrow.2017 £4231.40/£4231.40 (100%)

downhillfast opened his first TSB Classic Plus before the T&C changes on Sunday so that could be why the 2nd application was approved.Loan_soldier wrote: »I'll sort that tomorrow.
You applied for your first after the changes. It would be interesting to see whether or not you are granted an additional account now (I doubt that unless the new T&Cs aren't being enforced yet?) so please do let the forum know the outcome of your second application.0 -

I had opened my 1st account on Monday and it's also allowed me to open my 2nd one today. When clicking on the link to add another person to the account, it's saying that both parties would need to go to the local branch personally0 -

Sounds like a Joint Account application? Which is still allowed under the new TCs.0 -

Hi, I checked my online account and I have two accounts in my sole name.
I contacted TSB to query about this and was told that any accounts already opened in your sole name will be allowed and I would still be able to apply for a third account which is a joint one. But they reckon that there is something in place which will stop you opening a third account online and will direct you to open it via branch or telephone.0
