Mandatory reconsideration tax credits

Hi,
I just wondered if anyone had any success when applying for a reconsideration after the 30 day limit I know it can be extended up to 13 months.
The issue I had was due to receiving SMP for part of the year which was not taken into account on my income for the year so they had a figure that said I earn't almost £3000 more than I did, it was an oversight on my part but was under so much stress at the time moving house, new baby , dealing with a bereavement.
I've applied for this but am unsure what outcome to expect if they do reconsider my final tax credit award am I likely to receive some kind of belated payment? this would come in handy at the moment as on the unpaid maternity leave at moment and not entitled to any help my partner is just starting out a self employed so money is really tight.

Also what happened - did you give the higher figure on renewal, or did you give the correct figure which they ignored and used the figure from PAYE records etc (as they appear to have done with lots of people this year)?
If the latter you've got a good case, if the former probably not. But worth trying anyway.0 -
Yes its the final award for 2013/14
They had my income as 14750 this figure was supplied direct to them by my employer....however when I just recently found out my p60 there was another figure that I was supposed to use for tax returns which was 11400 this was taking the SMP into account, I called them and was sent the reconsideration form which I've sent off.
Previous year I earned approx £11500,0 -
I'm only expecting to earn around £5000 once smp element is taken off, partner is probably going to make a loss so we have estimated at around £6000 though that may be generous.0

Yes my maternity leave started 1st of Dec so has affected both 2013 and 2014 my SMP finished end of August, currently am using annual leave.0

I was just using estimated figures just found it out again says total for year is 14376.50, SMP amount 2919.86 and figure to use for tax returns 11380.84 which still doesn't add up right but sent copy off.
The company I worked for changed over during my leave and the terms changed luckily for me as the maternity provisions were much better.
Least I know not to expect any kind of refund oh well.0
