Choosing a credit card

I'm wanting to get a credit card but it's very daunting. I will be wanting to pay off the amount spent each month before any charges are incurred. I basically don't want to pay anything. Any perks an added bonus. Which card would be best?

Set up a direct debit to pay the full balance but remember to pay it yourself until the direct debit is set up.

When you first get the card write down everything you spend to make sure you know what your balance is going to be before it arrives!
