galaxy S2 just up and died

Ok so last week it tried to do an update, then rebooted and stuck on the samsung splash screen, after a few minutes turned off and back on, same, removed battery and SIM card same, then turned off went and made a drink but when I came back it will not even turn on and has bricked. tried 3 different battery all same result

Is their any hope of bringing it back to life or is it now only useful as a doorstop?

If its out of warranty you can try flashing a stock firmware via Odin .

But i would try factory reset first .
Hold down Home + Vol Up + Power if the Samsung S appears release and at next screen choose factory reset .

it will not turn on at all, thats the issue

Total brick the probably damaged nand .
Try Samsung warranty google sudden death syndrome .

You now need the Anyway Jig to fix it
