Mou park produce the nuggets, you can buy them frozen from the factory shop, they also sell kfc popcorn chicken.

    Is that the Grantham shop?

It used to be to be only open to staff of Padleys (this was before moy park buy out)

They're fried. (My son works there.)

    The next question would be.

What fat do they use and temp and how long do they fry for?

    4oz plain flour
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    half teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    half teaspoon black pepper
    1 egg
    4 fl.oz milk
1 large chicken breast (about 4oz)
    Oil for deep frying

In a bowl combine ; flour;onion powder;garlic powder; salt; black pepper.
In a seperate bowl, egg and milk
cut chicken into pieces, pound it with a mallet first (bite size pcs)
    dip into the flour mix
    then into egg/milk mix
    then same thing again
leave to rest and if you want a thick mix, dip again.
fry medium heat for 4/5 minutes until golden brown
    drain and eat.
    Enjoy

    I go for more simple.

Flour, pepper, egg, milk & chicken. (though I have been frying in beef dripping for flavour).
    No need for salt.

Flour & add pepper to taste.
coat my chicken in the flour.
Make batter use flour, egg & milk. Coat the chicken in the batter and straight into the fry.

Why do you pound the chicken pieces? I quite like the big chunky breast. (though if I have thigh as well that goes in as well). Often use turkey If I have that.

Used other cuts of meat as well, like pheasant. But then add garlic, etc. to the batter and have it with sweet potatoes & rosemary oven roast chips & pea puree.
Before anyone say its waste of pheasant. It fried normally it dries out very quickly. So by battering I keep the juices in, while keeping the meat tender.

I'll ask him later. He had an overnight shift last night, so he's asleep at the moment.

Everything is timed, right down to how long they have to assemble a burger!

Sainsburys 42 frozen nuggets for £3 is the best deal anywhere. Best quality (highest chicken percentage, lowest fat percentage) and British chicken. Very tasty too

My brother is Autistic. Thankfully he now eats quite a wide range of food and a lot of it is reasonably healthy but at one time he would only eat rice and chips so I know how difficult it can be.

This might sound odd but have you looked at Quorn 'chicken' nuggets? I often buy these and oven bake them and I often think they are so close to MCD nuggets. McDonalds use 70% sunflower oil mixed with 30% rapeseed oil (this is from a source which was written in 2010, it might have changed). I can't imagine being able to tell the difference if these were deep fried.

Sunflower oil, cooked from frozen at 180 degrees for 3 minutes. They float when cooked.

They probably come from 3663, they supply loads of fast food chains. McDonald's nuggets are frozen but pre-cooked so only need a blast in the fryer.

SailorSam, the bloke who wrote the Takeaway Secret is British, he developed agoraphobia (or something), read the beginning of the book, I've had the book for years and only recently read that :)
