Laptop can't access FB or Twitter

Son using lappy this morning ok early. Switched on just now it did updates but now can't display page notice on facebook and twitter. He did a system restore and still the same. Please can anyone advise

Are other sites working? What message is the browser showing?

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner but Hubby was not well and had to sort him, he is ok now.

All other sites were working. Thanks for your kind reply. He found something that told him to go to options etc somewhere and it said check SSL & TLS are ticked TLS wasnt and he ticked it, FB & Twitter are both now working thank you.
I dont know what SSL & TLS are though so hope he has done the right thing and it wont mess anything else up.

Same here. I started having problems with fb last night, and twitter this morning. When I try to access either of them I get a 'browser unable to make a secure connection with this site' message, and have been unable to find any way around it.
